Fall Mini Sessions NJ - Steinel Family | Family Photographer Millburn NJ

I got to photograph this family and their adorable new pooch Rocky at one of my Fall Mini sessions in Millburn NJ. It was a beautiful bright Fall morning with a slight chill in the air. I loved the dynamic between the siblings and we got to do some fun shots of just the two of them.

Surprisingly, their dog Rocky was a great subject. Given the fact that he was a relatively new puppy for the family and was still pretty young and wild, pulling on the leash in every direction, he posed for me like a true model!

Dogs are always welcome at my family sessions as long as they don’t try to eat me ;) Please do let me know if you’re bringing a pet to your family photoshoot so I can plan your session with them in mind.

Last-Minute Cherry Blossom Maternity Photography Session

Outdoor maternity sessions in Spring always have such a magical feel to them. Cherry Blossom sessions are my absolute favorite! With new life unfolding all around us, they providing such a beautiful backdrop and metaphor for the new little person arriving into the world.

Photographing this gorgeous mama-to-be was a beautiful last-minute treat. The cherry trees were just barely starting to bloom and I had a vision of doing this session about a week later but there was no time to wait since Baby Girl was scheduled to arrive just TWO days after our session! Vera looked so radiant and was super excited to meet her baby. So much so that she couldn't stop smiling throughout our whole session! 

Congratulations to this beautiful mama and the whole family! Baby Girl arrived two days later, healthy and sweet as can be!

Cherry Blossom Photography Session | Family Photographer Millburn NJ

Spring teased us for too long this year but it's finally here and seeing the explosions of color sure does make my soul sing. I'm so excited to share some of my Cherry Blossom sessions!

I got to photograph Katherine in Millburn NJ and what a blast we had with this spunky 3.5-year-old! This cutie embraced the whole experience, dressed up like a true Cherry Blossom princess and struck model-worthy poses all over the place! I was amazed at how comfortable she was with my big camera pointed at her. We laughed, ran around, admired the blossoms, made silly jokes and hid behind the blossoms.

Katherine's Dad wasn't planning on being photographed (or smacked in the face with cherry blossoms) but they coordinated so nicely and I just couldn't resist taking a few shots with him in the frame. I always love capturing a few candid images that show the special bond between a parent and a child. For me, these moments are so precious and truly show the unique dynamic each parent has with their children. 

This session brought me so much joy and I smiled the whole time while editing these images.
